Parliamentary committee rejects PiS RPO candidate, backs lawyer Gregorczyk-Abram

The Sejm's Committee on Justice and Human Rights rejected Adam Borowski, the PiS-backed candidate for Ombudsman (RPO), who claimed he is running "because his homeland is built on lawlessness" and boasted of lacking a legal education. The committee gave a positive opinion to Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram, a lawyer nominated by Civic Coalition (KO). The full Sejm will now decide on the appointment.
