Russia bans Armenian apricots as Kremlin retaliates for Yerevan's Western pivot

Russia imposed bans and restrictions on Armenian agricultural imports, including fruits, vegetables and flowers, angered by Yerevan's political pivot away from Moscow toward the West. The measures hit Armenia's Ararat valley apricot growers especially hard. The trade restrictions were timed ahead of recent Armenian parliamentary elections.
