Jason Statham teams up with a "Ted Lasso" star for new comedy-action project

Jason Statham 's career in action is never done. From his cinematic debut in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels to his action breakthrough in The Transporter and more recent hits like The Beekeeper and A Working Man , his ability to break bones in style and deliver one-liners continues to dazzle audiences. Last week, his next such effort, Mutiny , ramped up with an official trailer that promises his familiar brand of carnage aboard a cargo ship as he seeks vengeance after being framed for his boss' death. However, while action is what he's known for, comedy has always been his secret weapon . It's often been a treat when Statham gets to make viewers laugh, elevating performances like the aforementioned Guy Ritchie crime classic or Paul Feig 's Spy to new heights. Rarely, however, has he done something quite as tongue-in-cheek as his next project.
