Waerenskjold wins fastest-ever Tour de France stage at 50.91 km/h

Norwegian cyclist Soren Waerenskjold won the 11th stage of the Tour de France on Wednesday, a 161 km run from Vichy to Nevers, beating Belgian Jasper Philipsen in a mass sprint. The average speed of 50.91 km/h is the highest ever recorded in the race's history. It was Waerenskjold's first ever stage victory at the Tour de France.
