Ukraine requests exhumation searches in Poland, pledges reciprocal access for Polish historians
Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Wasyl Bodnar announced that Kyiv has submitted requests to the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) to conduct search and exhumation work in Poland. He also assured that permits for Polish historians to operate in Ukraine will not be conditional on those decisions. The move is a significant step in the Polish-Ukrainian historical dialogue, which centres on victims of the Volhynia massacre.
