UK to default-ban social media for 16–17-year-olds after midnight

The UK plans to introduce a default midnight cut-off for social media use by 16–17-year-olds. The restriction will be on by default but teens will be able to turn it off themselves. The measure is aimed at protecting young people from the negative effects of late-night social media use.
