Parliamentary committee backs Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram for Ombudsman post

The Sejm's justice and human rights committee gave a positive opinion on Wednesday to the candidacy of lawyer Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram for the post of Polish Ombudsman (RPO), proposed by KO and Lewica. The rival candidate put forward by PiS, Adam Borowski, received a negative opinion. The final appointment decision rests with the full Sejm.
