Kilograms of Amber Wash Up on Vistula Spit Beaches After July Storm

On the night of 14–15 July, exceptionally large quantities of amber washed up on the beaches of the Vistula Spit. Collectors gathered kilograms of the so-called Baltic gold, and videos of the nocturnal hauls went viral on social media. Even seasoned amber hunters say they have never seen such abundance before.
