145,000 Australians with Autism to Lose NDIS Support by 2030, Documents Show
Internal Australian health department documents, released under freedom-of-information laws, show that around 144,600 NDIS participants receiving support for autism are expected to be removed from the scheme by 2030. From 2028, almost two-thirds of the 241,000 people losing access will be under 18. The federal government is narrowing the focus of the $52-billion scheme to those with significant and complex needs.
