Cardinal Zuppi visits Russian POWs in Lviv region bearing gifts from the Pope

Vatican envoy Cardinal Matteo Zuppi visited a facility housing Russian prisoners of war in the Lviv region of Ukraine. He presented the prisoners with symbolic gifts and conveyed assurances of "papal solidarity" on behalf of Pope Leo XIV. The Pope is praying for the earliest possible end to the war in Ukraine.
