Poland leads 10-country coalition demanding ETS reform

Poland has assembled a coalition of 10 EU member states demanding reform of the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) and a realistic emissions-reduction pathway, Climate Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska announced on Wednesday. A letter with the coalition's demands has been submitted to the European Commission. The group forms a blocking minority capable of halting planned tightening of the ETS rules.
