Poland's Border Defence Component established — Tarcza Wschód budget reaches 40 billion PLN

Poland has officially established the Border Defence Component, with Territorial Defence Forces officers appointed to command positions in its brigades. Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz personally presented the appointment certificates. The total budget of the "Tarcza Wschód" (Eastern Shield) programme, of which this component forms part, now stands at 40 billion PLN.
