Homer's Iliad fragment found inside 1,600-year-old Egyptian mummy

Archaeologists examining a 1,600-year-old Egyptian mummy discovered a papyrus fragment containing lines from Homer's Iliad, specifically from the famous "Catalogue of Ships" section. It is the first known case of a Greek literary text being deliberately incorporated into the mummification process. The find adds a new dimension to our understanding of both ancient burial customs and the spread of Greek literature in Roman-era Egypt.
