NASA astronaut Jessica Meir photographs Himalayan glaciers from the ISS

NASA astronaut Jessica Meir captured stunning photographs of Himalayan glaciers from the International Space Station in May, shooting from an altitude of 417 kilometres. The images show slow-moving rivers of ice flowing down the range's northern slopes onto China's Tibetan Plateau. The Himalayas, which separate Nepal from China and include Mount Everest, have more than 110 peaks exceeding 24,000 feet (about 7,300 m).
