Europe is warming fastest globally, climatologist warns as wildfires rage
Dr Alan Kennedy-Asser, a senior researcher at the University of Bristol, warns that European temperatures are rising faster than on any other continent, directly fuelling the wave of wildfires currently burning across the region. Hundreds of French firefighters narrowly contained two fires in the Fontainebleau forest near Paris. The climatologist says shifting weather patterns will drive increasingly severe climate disasters across Europe.
