Nun moth threatens Polish forests — foresters monitoring the dangerous pest

The Międzyrzec forest district is conducting its annual monitoring of the nun moth, an inconspicuous insect considered one of the most dangerous pests in Polish forests. Foresters have set up traps in the field and are asking walkers not to remove or damage them. Mass outbreaks of the moth can strip trees of their needles and lead to their death.
