Morawiecki: Poland helped Ukraine out of self-interest, not sentiment
Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki responded to his PiS colleague Przemysław Czarnek, who called for halting aid to Ukraine over alleged resurgent Banderite nationalism. Morawiecki argued Poland helped Ukraine out of cold strategic calculation — a buffer of states between Poland and Russia serves Polish national interest. He also warned that adopting the Confederation party's rhetoric could cost PiS votes.
