Americans Say They Need $1.2 Million to Retire Comfortably, but Most Won't Get There

A new survey finds Americans believe they need $1.2 million to retire comfortably, but only 30% of workplace retirement plan investors expect to reach even $1 million before leaving work. Rising living costs, insufficient savings and debt are the main barriers. The gap between retirement expectations and reality is especially wide among younger generations.
