Poland creates Border Defence Component to protect eastern flank from Russian threat

Poland's Minister of Defence has ordered the creation of the Border Defence Component, a new military formation tasked with protecting the country's eastern flank. The unit is intended to draw on the traditions of the pre-war Border Protection Corps. Its establishment is a direct response to the growing threat posed by Russia.
