'Severance' Star Horror Film Earns $400M Globally on $1M Budget
Horror film "Obsession," starring an actor from "Severance," has grossed over $400 million worldwide against a budget of under $1 million. Another low-budget horror, "Backrooms" (budget: $10 million), earned around $370 million globally. Both were directed by filmmakers in their 20s and received highly positive reviews. A third critically acclaimed horror film has also been performing strongly on the PVOD market for over a month, though it has been overshadowed by the other two hits.
