Nine new emoji previewed for release next year

Unicode's emoji lead Jennifer Daniel has previewed nine emoji set to be released next year, with some being entirely new and others updates to existing symbols aimed at reducing misunderstandings. The committee responsible for selecting emoji is focusing partly on tidying up the current set to improve clarity across platforms.
