Polish audit finds irregularities at Southern Hospital: private care mixed with NFZ patients
Poland's Supreme Audit Office (NIK) has published a report identifying irregularities at the Southern Hospital in Warsaw. At the hospital's spinal surgery centre, private commercial care was found to be mixed with services funded by the public health insurer NFZ, with post-operative patients placed in rooms intended for paying clients. NIK concluded this violated the rules governing public healthcare financing.
