Poland builds coalition against fast EU emissions cuts and ETS2

Deputy Climate Minister Krzysztof Bolesta told PAP Biznes that Poland will this week present a letter signed by a large group of countries calling for a pragmatic revision of the EU ETS and a renewed debate on the ETS2. He argued that industry cannot sustain the current pace of the energy transition. Unofficial signals suggest Friday's European Commission proposal may include Polish demands on industrial benchmarks and an extension of the Modernisation Fund.
