Canada hit by 128 wildfires in a single day — smoke visible from space

Canada recorded 128 separate wildfire outbreaks in a single day, concentrated in the northeast of the country. Ontario issued numerous evacuation orders, including for Indigenous communities in affected areas. Smoke from the fires was dense enough to be visible from space.
