ZUS rejected 200,000 widow's pension applications due to form errors
Since the widow's pension (renta wdowia) was introduced in Poland, ZUS has rejected nearly 200,000 of the more than one million applications filed. As of May 2026, 988,800 people were receiving the benefit. The social insurance body says the most common reason for rejection is mistakes made by applicants when filling in the forms.
