Alternativa Distribution launches to bring Global South films to TV and streaming

Alternativa has launched a distribution arm that will sell impact-driven films to broadcasters and streaming platforms. The division, Alternativa Distribution, is headed by Avital Lavi, a former yesDocu and TikTok executive. Its debut slate includes ten films, among them Zoljargal Purevdash's Cannes Un Certain Regard title "If Only I Could Hibernate" and "A Poet."
