UK proposes midnight-to-6am social media curfew for 16 and 17-year-olds

The UK government has proposed making Instagram, TikTok and YouTube unavailable by default between midnight and 6am for users aged 16 and 17. The curfew proposal accompanies a pending ban on social media access for children under 16. Older teens would, however, be able to opt out of the overnight restriction themselves.
