Alan Ritchson in talks for Netflix action film "Maelstrom" — a project 30 years in the making
Alan Ritchson, star of "Reacher," is in negotiations to lead Netflix's action film "Maelstrom," to be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra of "Carry-On" fame. The script was originally sold to Warner Bros. in 1993 by producer Jeff Robinov but went unproduced for over three decades. Netflix revived the project following the success of "Carry-On"; the film will follow a federal agent protecting an arms dealer's fiancée during an approaching hurricane that cuts them off from help.
