ITV and Oscar-nominated writer Jeff Pope are developing an untitled drama exploring the damaging impact of social media on children. The idea came to ITV from Lauren Cowell, partner of Simon Cowell. The series will follow multiple families and campaigners, including Ellen Roome, who believes social media contributed to her child's tragic death.
