Museums and cinema slow ageing: a 70-year-old's body functions like a 67-year-old's

A study found that older adults who regularly attend cultural events — museums, cinemas and concerts — have bodies that function on average three years younger than those of their peers. Researchers suggest stronger social ties, better mental health and healthier habits may explain the link. Further research is needed to determine whether cultural activity directly slows the ageing process.
