Expert: new "smartphone pedestrian" road sign won't improve safety
The Institute of Civic Affairs has petitioned the Ministry of Infrastructure to introduce a road sign warning of pedestrians distracted by smartphones. Former police officer and road safety expert Wojciech Pasieczny dismissed the idea, arguing that better enforcement of existing rules and road-user education are what is needed, not a new sign.
