Thames Water posts profit as net debt swells

Thames Water, the UK's largest water company, returned to post-tax profit for the 12 months to the end of March, helped by rising bills. However, the company's net debt also grew significantly over the same period. The results present a mixed picture — improved profitability alongside a worsening debt burden.
