Serbian minister: I would have carried out ethnic cleansing in Kosovo in 1998

Serbian minister Sneżana Paunović publicly stated that had she been in Slobodan Milošević's position in 1998, she would have carried out ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. The statement was condemned by the European Union, the government of Kosovo, and Serbia's own opposition. Her words were described as "the most brazen statement" heard from a Serbian official.
