Germany forms new Luftwaffe training battalion in Fürstenfeldbruck

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has approved the formation of a new Luftwaffe training battalion to be based in Fürstenfeldbruck, Bavaria. The move responds to growing recruit numbers and the rollout of Germany's new Neuer Wehrdienst military service system, which has required a rapid expansion of training capacity.
