EU Commission forwards Germany's objection to Poland over protected goose label

The European Commission has formally forwarded Germany's objection to Poland in the dispute over registering Polish goose as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). This marks a new stage in a long-running disagreement between Poland and Germany over the right to protect the product under EU regional food regulations. Poland will now have to respond to Berlin's objections through the EU procedure.
