Google forced to host rival app stores on Android after Epic lawsuit

Google and Epic Games have jointly withdrawn their attempt to settle the lawsuit reshaping Android app distribution in the US. As a result, Google must now carry rival third-party app stores within its own Google Play Store. Google told the court it is ready to begin implementing this change as early as next week.
