Paramount lawyer says WBD merger on track to close by end of September despite lawsuits

Paramount's lead trial counsel Jeffrey Kessler told CNBC that the Warner Bros. Discovery merger is still planned to close before the end of September, despite a Monday antitrust lawsuit filed by attorneys general from California, New York and ten other states. Kessler said the company is also weighing a Supreme Court appeal. He expressed confidence the lawsuit would not derail the transaction's timeline.
