China's top prosecutors propose treating crypto mixers as money laundering evidence

China's Supreme People's Procuratorate has published recommendations proposing that the use of cryptocurrency mixers and privacy coins be treated as evidence of criminal intent in money laundering prosecutions. The paper, published in the official Procuratorial Daily, was co-authored by prosecutors from Hunan Province and a law professor at Xiangtan University. The authors argue that the pseudonymous, cross-border nature of virtual currencies has outpaced China's existing legal framework.
