WGA sues to block $111 billion Paramount–Warner Bros. merger over writers' pay

The Writers Guild of America West and East filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday seeking to block the proposed $111 billion Paramount Skydance takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery. The guilds allege the deal violates federal antitrust law and would specifically harm writers through lower pay and fewer job opportunities. The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District.
