Mexico lawmakers file antitrust complaint against Sony over end of physical games

Mexican Federal Representative Iraís Reyes and Senator Luis Donaldo Colosio plan to file a complaint with Mexico's National Antitrust Commission against Sony. They argue that Sony's decision to stop producing physical games from January 2028 constitutes anti-competitive behaviour under Mexico's Federal Economic Competition Law. The complaint claims the move could raise costs, reduce competition and destroy retail infrastructure in the games market.
