Italy Fines Tourists Up to 1,000 PLN for Inappropriate Dress in Public Spaces
Italian resorts are imposing fines of up to the equivalent of 1,000 PLN for inappropriate dress in public spaces, such as wearing swimwear away from the beach, going shirtless in town centres or entering churches in skimpy clothing. The rules can change from year to year, so tourists are advised to check local regulations before travelling. Polish tourists are reportedly less likely to fall foul of such rules than visitors from some other countries.
