Poland's coalition split over short-term rental law — two parties demand changes

Poland's government has approved a short-term rental bill, but coalition partners Polska 2050 and Lewica say they will not support it in its current form. The legislation, developed over more than two years at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, does little more than create a register of short-term rentals as required by EU rules. Both parties are demanding stronger measures, including the right for municipalities to cap the number of short-term rental properties.
