Carey Mulligan has joined the cast of Focus Features' film adaptation of The Bell Jar, playing Mrs. Greenwood, according to sources who spoke to Variety. The film marks the big-screen acting debut of global pop star Billie Eilish. Mulligan comes to the project fresh off an Emmy nomination for the second season of Beef. The studio has not yet formally announced the project.
