Ann Widdecombe killed in targeted attack – UK police hold 28-year-old suspect

British politician Ann Widdecombe has been killed in what counterterrorism police described as a targeted attack. A 28-year-old man has been arrested and is continuing to be interviewed by officers. Widdecombe was a long-serving Conservative MP and one of the most recognisable figures in British public life.
