'Hellish' oak processionary moth caterpillar spreads across Europe, reaches Poland
The oak processionary moth caterpillar, nicknamed the "larva from hell," is spreading rapidly across Europe. The insects have overrun several Danish cities and are also being combated in France, the Netherlands and Germany. Their presence has now been confirmed in Poland; the caterpillars' tiny hairs cause severe allergic reactions in humans and animals.
