Germany opts out of coalition military exercises in Poland this autumn

The first staff-level military exercises of the so-called "coalition of the willing" are set to take place in Poland this autumn, focusing on troop deployment scenarios after a potential ceasefire in Ukraine. Germany will not participate in the drills, according to the dpa news agency, despite being part of the broader coalition. The exercises are intended to prepare allied nations for post-conflict stabilisation planning.
