Trump pays writer E Jean Carroll $5m in damages for sexual abuse and defamation

President Donald Trump has paid writer E Jean Carroll $5 million in damages for sexual abuse and defamation. Trump had sought to delay the payment while attempting to persuade the Supreme Court to overturn the judgement, but was unsuccessful.
