12 US States Sue to Block Paramount's Takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery

Twelve US states, led by California, have filed a lawsuit to block Paramount Skydance's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, arguing the deal would create a company with excessive market power and harm consumers and workers. The legal challenge also carries a political dimension, with Democratic state attorneys general targeting what they describe as crony capitalism linked to business leaders' ties to President Donald Trump.
