Polish Jets Intercept Russian Ilyushin Il-20 Spy Plane Over the Baltic Sea

Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Ilyushin Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea as it approached Poland's maritime border. Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the flight's purpose was to probe Polish air defence systems. General Bogusław Pacek warned that the incident is part of an escalating pattern of Russian hybrid operations against NATO member states.
