First New 35mm Print of 'Akira' in Decades to Tour UK and Ireland Cinemas

Distributor Anime Limited has revealed a brand-new 35mm print of Katsuhiro Ôtomo's classic anime "Akira," struck from the 4K master and described as the first such print made anywhere in the world in decades. It will debut at BFI Southbank in London from August 14–19 before touring selected cinemas across the UK and Ireland. Fans will be able to experience the 1988 film in its original theatrical format.
